BILLY TALENT是来自加拿大安大略省Mississauga，发展于多伦多的一支朋克乐队，成员包括主音Benjamin Kowalewicz，吉他手Ian D'Sa，贝斯手Jon Gallant 以及鼓手Aaron Solowoniuk。 在2004年的朱诺奖上，BILLY TALENT获得了最佳新乐队组合奖，从此开始在领奖台上频繁出现。2005年是BILLY TALENT丰收的一年，他们夺得了朱诺奖的年度专辑以及年度乐队组合奖，另外在2005年的MUCH MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS（MMVA）中，BILLY TALENT 总共获得了九个奖项的提名，他们的《THE REVER BELOW》获得了最佳影片奖以及最佳摇滚影片奖。

Billy Talent的名气相对比Sum 41估计差了很大一截，同样做流行朋克，Billy Talent可能有更多更冥顽不化的东西存在音乐当中，这导致加拿大流行音乐市场并没有对Billy Talent造成太过巨大的冲击，同时也就导致他们的受众面相对更窄。可这一切并不阻碍有一众死忠紧随Billy Talent身后，当所有强加于朋克之上的所谓“概念”、“寓意”、“反叛”之特点褪去之后，Billy Talent最值得称道的还是在音乐之上，他们永远忠诚于旋律的简单化以及人嗓的粗粝化。 单纯以“Billy Talent”命名的专辑如今已经被乐队进行到了第三张，《Billy Talent III》也是乐队的第四张正式专辑，我们可以从这张没有做出什么大跨越的专辑当中听到Billy Talent一如既往努力留存的特点，那反反复复强调的单音轨贝司solo依旧贯穿整张专辑的始末，Benjamin Kowalewicz的声音说不上有太多的特色，只能被认为是这一拨流行朋克乐队当中比较正常的那一类声音，如果去掉Billy Talent标志性的贝司，那一把嗓音便相当容易被忽略。3 D+ O3 ~" ?! ]* R, K) J" c
没有过多朋克当中该有的愤怒和犀利，整张专辑在旋律流行度和歌词态度的模棱两可之间做着匀速运动，这种中庸是导致这张专辑并没有成为大多数朋克死忠所拥护的最主要原因，不过，单单从乐队所坚持的在旋律上尽量保持和缓这一不明显努力上，可以比较“欣慰”于Billy Talent很可能会将这种朋克当中的暧昧态度一直保存下去，或许当很久很久以后，人们再次以回忆的姿态细数起加拿大流行朋克音乐时，会因为他们的这种不张扬的特点而被涂抹上较为浓重的一笔。
