8 Q/ a* E( |) [初听他们的音乐，会想起那个在70年代叱垞乐坛的roxy music，但在旋律上却少了份roxy music的跳跃感，而antony的歌喉却绝对可以与brian ferry相媲美了。 他们都喜欢在歌唱中大量运用颤音，给人以一种绵柔的质感，而和ferry的温暖稍有些不同的是antony的歌声听起来是一种哀怨的感觉、旋律也大多似古老的悲伤的民谣。 因此a&j的音乐听起来更像是brian ferry单飞后的那些温柔小品了，而在歌曲中大量复古的弦乐与铜管的运用，也颇有60、70年代的风貌，别有一番韵味。
