乐队简介

2003-2005

2011年8月16日，乐队宣布开始在海岸公路录音棚为专辑录制素材，在前张专辑《The Sound of Madness》中为乐队工作格莱美奖制作人Rob Cavallo，继续担任本专辑制作。同年12月15日，Rob Cavallo宣布Shinedown将在2012年1月3日计划发布他们的首张单曲专辑《Bully》。
2012年1月3日，专辑正式发售，乐队宣布他们的新专辑题为《Amaryllis》，将在3月27日发售，1月17日开始可以进行预约。翌日，乐队被证实入主Roadrunner唱片公司，负责唱片在全球发行的工作，而在美国本土发行的专辑依然被标上Atlantic的厂牌。在电影《复仇者联盟》中，歌曲“I’m Alive”作为背景音乐，并在5月1日的官方原声带中发布。同年7月17日，新专辑单曲《Enemies》的MV正式发布。
2012年11月7日，主唱Brent Smith在接受NME采访时宣布新专辑的录制工作已经完成，他表示：“专辑称得上强大，总体上会有史诗般的感觉，但节奏有点舒缓，和歌曲本身的题材有一定偏差，实际上是有点阴暗，略带几分调皮。”随后，在记者的采访中被证实，他们所讨论的只不过是专辑中的歌曲，但专辑本身并未开始制作。

Shinedown近日宣布，他们正在录音棚中录制十首翻唱歌曲，并在十天内宣布从歌迷的推荐中所选择的歌曲。乐队首先将在歌迷推荐的材料中精心细选十首，然后进行分组进行两两对决。乐队同时还将支持美国摇滚乐队Alter Bridge2013年的欧洲巡演，期间贝斯手埃里克·巴斯在台上扭伤踝关节，但依然坚持演出[2]  。然而其中一些音乐家，诸如Adele、Phil Collins、Pearl Jam和Bon Jovi不同意释放其作品，因此在2014年1月28日EP被发行前，歌曲减少到6首，被省略的歌曲收录只2014年3月18日发布的EP2中。
