8 C8 Z y. H2 `6 M' D1998年，Metalcore乐团Overcast解散后，贝司手Mike D’Antonio想要组织一个结合硬核朋克与重金属的新团，隔年找来Aftershock的双吉他手团员Adam Dutkiewicz以及Joel Stroetzel共同创作演出，最后邀请Jesse Leach担任主唱一职后，Killswitch Engage正式宣告成军。& u8 ?! h+ z0 q
他们的音乐旋律性比较强，排山倒海般整洁快速的吉他音墙，厚重的鼓点，沉稳的贝司，主歌部分声嘶力竭的双主唱吼叫，副歌部分具有恢弘气势的演唱，外加出众的旋律编曲。这就是killswith engage一支来自美国的重金属乐队，他们最近被美国国内一些媒体评为美国重金属新浪潮代表之一，也就是New Wave of American Heavy Metal运动，被评为美国新派激流(New Thrash)代表之一。4 i: b5 p, k1 n' b i
