Cocteau Twins简介

$ w9 l" M, o2 H) x' a( X极地双子星基本上是个三人乐队。1981由吉它手罗宾·格思里（Robin Guthrie）、威尔·希格瑞（Will Heggie）和主唱伊丽莎白·弗雷泽（Elizabeth Fraser）组成。 Robin和Wil在酒吧结识了正在跳舞的Liz Fraser，把她招收为乐队成员。 1983年，推出Peppermint Pig单曲后，Will Heggie离开了乐队，另组LOWLIFE。之后极地双子星曾一度维持2人组型态推出作品。0 d- v3 O0 o$ G; ^& k0 s! G
1984年，当参与THIS MORTAL COIL音乐的制作，认识贝斯手Simon Raymonde。加入后，陆续推出The spangle maker单曲和有名的Treasure专辑。一直到1997年，在筹备第9张专辑时，乐队突然宣布解散。这当中只有1986年的Victorialand 专辑，Raymonde因为参与THIS MORTAL COIL第二张专辑的制作而缺席。Victorialand 专辑刚推出时为了音效，LP唱片是45转速，不像一般专辑为33又1/3转速。
