Notorious B.I.G.（Christopher Wallace，1972年5月21日——1997年3月9日）。是嘻哈史上最具影响力的歌手之一，有多个破金的单曲。妻子为蓝调歌手菲斯·伊万斯。1997年3月9日在参加过“灵魂列车奖”晚会之后回酒店的路上被枪击身亡，年仅25岁。
人物简介
The Notorious B.I.G.别名Biggie Smalls，Frank White，全称Christopher G. L. Wallace。是美国说唱史上最为杰出的歌手之一，影响了后代一大批的说唱歌手。尽管辉煌的时间极为短暂，但他却对当今的说唱音乐有着深远的影响。作为美国东海岸说唱的旗帜性人物在1997年遭枪杀去世，成为继死对头2pac之后又一位在东西海岸的匪帮说唱团体的斗争的牺牲品。
曾经用过的绰号包括Biggie Smalls（来源于1975年的黑帮电影《Let's Do It Again》里的虚构人物）和Frank White（来自1990年的电影《King of New York》）。
华莱士每次几乎都是到了录音棚才开始写词或是将歌词都记在脑中，或是直接录音时即兴说唱，这也是他传世的歌曲较少的原因之一。他也将自己这样的技巧教给了Jay-Z，所以Jay-Z录音的时候都是没有歌词本的。
华莱士推出过衣服品牌Brooklyn Mint，以生产加大码衣服为主，但是销量从他去世后就直线下降了。2004年，他的经纪人Mark Pitts和Wayne Barrow受到Jay-Z的帮助，推出有华莱士头像的T-shirt。衣服产生的部分收益转给Christopher Wallace基金会和Jay-Z的Shawn Carter奖学金基金会。2005年，华莱士母亲Voletta聘请品牌和授权机构Wicked Cow娱乐区管理知道这条产业的发牌工作。市场上的华莱士的品牌涉及模型制作，毛毯生产和手机零件。
华莱士纪念基金会举行一年一度的黑领带晚会（B.I.G之夜）。除了纪念已故的说唱歌手，还为提供小孩子学校的教学设备而搜集资金。这个特别的晚会，因为是属于学校的慈善会，因此B.I.G的名字也有了“Book Instead of Guns（书本代替枪支，用知识抵抗暴力）”的延伸含义。
早年经历
1972年5月21日出生在玛丽医院，生长在布鲁克林的克林顿山段，是父亲奥莱塔·华莱士唯一的儿子，两岁时他的父亲离开了家庭，她的母亲不得不做两份工作来供养他，在诸圣中学就读后获得了很多奖项。12岁时开始卖非法药物。直到他成人后，他的母亲才知道他从事销售非法交易。
在他的要求下，他离开了原来的中学，转学于国家资助的乔治西屋职业技术教育学校。她的母亲说他这时表现的仍然很乖，17岁华莱士退学并且进一步参与犯罪，1989年在布鲁克林区被逮扑，判处五年缓刑。1990年他违反缓刑犯的要求被捕。1991年，华莱士在北卡罗来纳州处理可卡因被捕。被处以九个月的监禁之后被保释。
华莱士在他十几岁的时候开始说唱。他请人在街上听，以及与当地团体演出。从监狱中被释放后，华莱士做了一个Demo《Biggie》。虽然这盘Demo没有让他名声大噪也没有为其带来一纸唱片约，但却引起了曾与Big Daddy Keane合作的DJ Mister Cee和《The Source》嘻哈杂志编辑的注意。
1992年3月开始音乐生涯，跟随一个组合the Techniques第一次走进了录音室，用Biggie Smalls作为自己的艺名。用朋友的设备录制了一张Demo，并把小样寄到了The Source杂志参加一个说唱音乐的比赛。上城唱片A&R和唱片制作人肖恩听到他的Demo后安排了与他的会面，不久，肖恩离开了上城唱片，建立了自己的唱片公司Bad Boy（坏男孩），华莱士跟随而去。1993年8月8日，华莱士的女友生下了他的第一个孩子t'yanna。为了抚养孩子长大，当时经济状况并不好的华莱士甚至又重拾贩毒的老本行，直到被肖恩发现后才作罢。The Notorious B.I.G.首次正式录音是1993年在玛丽·布莱姬重新混音的单曲《Real Love》。他的艺名The Notorious B.I.G.也是从这时开始使用。
