Darren Hayes，1972年5月8日生于澳大利亚布里斯班。23岁时遇到Daniel Jones，组成风靡全世界的演唱组合Savage Garden。Savage Garden在全盛时期解散，之后Darren Hayes继续个人的音乐事业，并成立了个人音乐厂牌Powdered Sugar。
个人经历
在事业的巅峰，由Darren Hayes（戴伦·海斯）与Daniel Jones（丹尼尔·琼斯）所组成的Savage Garden（野人花园）突然宣布解散，消息传来令喜爱他们的歌迷们心碎不已。这支双人团体在97年带来首张同名专辑、99年发表第二张专辑《Affirmation（认定）》，在全球累积销售超过两千万张。而主唱Darren Hayes温柔动人的嗓音，诠释每首耐人寻味的抒情歌曲，得到全球歌迷的肯定及支持，便使得Savage Garden成为家喻户晓的流行团体，在排行榜上创造“Truly Madly Deeply”、“I Want You”、“I Knew I Loved You”、“Animal Song”等红极一时的传唱歌曲。由于个人发展重心的考量，Darren Hayes与丹尼尔做出最艰难的决定，彼此各奔东西，分别往幕前、幕后发展，寻求更宽广的天空.
离开野人花园后，出版了第一张单飞专辑Spin，销量未如预想。第二张专辑The Tension and the Spark是一张坦诚而富有创造力的唱片，但销量更不佳。2005年出版了野人花园精选集后，Darren于2006年7月9日离开合作十年之久的Columbia Records。他创建了自己的厂牌Powdered Sugar，开始放手尝试自己想玩的音乐，由此诞生了This Delicate Thing We've Made这张颇有些另类的电音专辑。
