专辑介绍
The White Stripes因为他们曾经的集大成的疯狂举动和想法出名，这次除了吉他和鼓点，以及一些对白录音，他们还运用了墨西哥民谣、美国乡村、苏格兰小调以及吉普塞弗拉门哥，这种叠加融合创造了新时期摇滚混合理论的典范。这张专辑是他们加入华纳公司后出品的首张专辑，《Icky Thump》也是他们首支登上Billboard排行榜热门100里前40名的一支单曲。准确地说，是第26名。
从歌词上看，这首歌是一个很大的改变。《Elephant》那张专辑里的《Seven Nation Army》以及《Get Behind Me Satan》专辑里的《Blue Orchid》藐视名声和诱惑，《Icky Thump》也有一个话题：移民。《Icky Thump》、《Bone Broke》等还是可以让人感觉到那个渺视一切的白色条纹乐队。作为写歌者，Jack White的成就低于他作为声音建筑师的成就。甚至跟莉儿·乔或者艾薇尔这样的歌手相比，他的写作都不能代表他的水平。

《YouDon' t Know What Love Is》也是一首反男性至上论的歌曲，是对于一个不是他的妻子的女人的安慰。比《Blue Orchid》更宏大、更缓慢，杰克加入更多车库元素，让这张专辑很容易变成他最大声、最吵闹的一张专辑。尽管这张专辑不如歌迷们想象的那么持续、统一，他们的声音总是伴随着你，而那些声音也代表了他们本身。
乐队成就
