美国拉斯维加斯乐队The Killers第二张录音室专辑将于10月3日发行。主唱Brandon Flowers在最近接受媒体采访时称：这张新专辑是过去20年里最好的专辑。
新专辑取名Sam's Town，是以乐队家乡的一家酒店和赌场的 名字：Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall命名的，共12首歌曲。第一支单曲When You Were Young已于8月7日开始在各大电台播放，第二支单曲也已经确定为Bones，这首歌曲的MV已经拍摄完毕，即将发行。由于The Killers在美国和英国属于不同的厂牌，所以在两国通过不同的公司来发行。由伦敦独立厂牌Lizard King Records在英国发行，美国则由Island Records发行。据说这张唱片深受Bruce Springsteen以及Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers的影响。
这张专辑的两名制作人Flood和Alan Moulder均为英国人。 两人以前都曾为U2、Nine Inch Nails以及The Smashing Pumpkins等乐队制作过专辑。Flood最近的作品是Placebo今年上半年的新专辑Meds，而Alan Moulder去年曾为The Smashing Pumpkins主唱Billy Corgan的首张个人专辑TheFutureEmbrace以及Nine Inch Nails的With Teeth操刀，Killers的首张专辑Hot Fuss同样有此人的参与。
The Killers乐队深受上世纪80年代英国新浪潮的影响，2004年的首张专辑Hot Fuss销量早已超过百万，并为乐队赢得五项格莱美提名等无数荣誉。
